We checked out Fresh Taste of Asia when they opened and were less than impressed. Because they were new we vowed to go back.
A few months later…
We had a hunkering for some sushi. Our tried and true Asahi happened to be closed for a holiday so we gave Fresh Taste another chance. This time the restaurant was quiet and we sat directly at the sushi bar. Noting the help-wanted sign in the window for a bartender, we ordered sake and a plum wine to be safe, while we perused the sushi menu. The sushi chef, with a thick accent that was difficult to understand at times, was attentive and helpful with suggestions.
We were reassured while we watched him prepare our Rainbow Maki, Spicy Tuna Maki and TNT Maki with skill. He asked us many times how things were during our meal and we were pleased to say that things were great and actually mean it.
