Bangkok Paradise
90 Washington St.
If you like your restaurants dark and eclectic with a bit of kitsch- this is the place for you. We recommend sticking with the Thai cuisine and staying away from the sushi, this is not the best place in town for it. For starters we suggest the chicken satay or if you’re a newbie try a Paradise Platter so you can sample a few things at once. If you like soup, the Tom Yum soup never disappoints. Heading straight to the entree we suggest the Drunken Chicken or Pad Thai (oh hell, it’s ALL good!), just don’t forget your side of peanut sauce!
The service can be a bit slow during peak hours so try sitting at the bar (if you can find room to sit) where you’ll get primo attention and you can also try one of their specialty drinks.
Most nights feature live music with Jazz from 6-9 on Friday and Saturday followed by some sort of rock, pop, reggae or metal band from 10-12.
The ‘kok is a regular stomping ground for the Salem Insiders and a must for jazz lovers.
